Two men from Westminster were killed early Saturday morning when a pickup truck left the roadway and struck a tree on Brookhurst Street in Garden Grove, according to Garden Grove Police Department.
The collision occurred at approximately 2:42 a.m. on April 18 in the 12900 block of Brookhurst Street. A silver 2009 Chevrolet Silverado veered off the road and hit a tree. The driver, a 22-year-old Westminster man, was trapped inside the vehicle. The passenger, an 18-year-old Westminster man, was ejected.
Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded to the scene and pronounced both occupants deceased.
The Garden Grove Police Department’s Neighborhood Traffic Unit is handling the investigation. The cause of the crash has not been determined.
