Got a yard worth showing off? Garden Grove wants to hear about it.

The city's Garden Grove Gems program — a home beautification initiative that recognizes residents for outstanding curb appeal — opens nominations on Wednesday, April 1. Homeowners can nominate their own properties through Friday, April 24 at ggcity.org/gems.

From all nominations submitted, four will be selected at random to receive $100 Home Depot gift cards. Gift card winners will be announced the week of April 27.

Public online voting runs from May 4 through May 18. The home with the highest vote total in each city council district — along with a runner-up — will be named a district winner. All winners will be announced during the week of May 26 through the city's website, social media, and local media outlets.

District winners will also be invited to an awards reception hosted by the Garden Grove City Council.

For program guidelines and to submit a nomination, visit ggcity.org/gems or call (714) 741-5200.
