At 3:54 p.m. on May 4, Garden Grove police responded to the 12100 block of Flagstone Avenue after reports of a shooting. They found the victim, Jeff Fulgham, 48, outside with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Orange County Fire Authority handled medical response on scene; Fulgham was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

The suspect, Dale Shroyer, 56, was detained without incident and later booked on attempted homicide. Police say the shooting involved family members and poses no threat to anyone else in the area.
