Chuong Vo, running for California's 45th Congressional District seat, has secured the endorsement of the California Young Republicans, the campaign announced around May 14 via its official Facebook page.
Vo confirmed the endorsement directly: "I am proud to announce that I have officially received the endorsement of the California Young Republicans. Let's keep this momentum going!" The post pointed supporters to his campaign site at vo4congress.com for a full endorsement list.
The California Young Republicans, organized since 1931, are the state's flagship GOP youth organization. Their endorsement signals that Vo's candidacy is gaining traction beyond the traditional party establishment circles.
This adds to a pattern. Vo previously earned the backing of the California Republican Assembly, the CRA, one of the oldest conservative grassroots organizations in the state. That endorsement came earlier in the primary cycle, positioning Vo as a candidate with credibility on both the organizational right and with younger Republican activists.
Vo is a Vietnamese refugee and retired law enforcement officer. CA-45, centered on North Orange County, includes Westminster and the Little Saigon corridor and is currently held by Democrat Derek Tran. The Republican primary field for the seat has several candidates competing ahead of the 2026 race.
Endorsements at this stage of a primary cycle matter mostly for what they signal: who is doing the work, who is showing up at the right rooms, and who the organizational infrastructure of a party is willing to put its name behind. On both those counts, Vo's coalition is taking shape.
